This page is a gateway to several password-accessible pages intended for use by members of the Criminal Justice Act panel and other defense attorneys with an interest in federal defense practice in the District of Maryland. It contains our brief bank,  downward departure ideas, and directories of individuals and resources.  Our goal is for these areas to evolve into important and comprehensive resources for federal criminal defense attorneys in Maryland.  We therefore solicit your ideas and submissions, and, since the areas are very much under construction, we ask for your patience.

Groups listserv, CJA Counsel-Md.  This is where defense lawyers can exchange  questions, answers, comments, war stories, and  engage in general brainstorming on matters of common interest among federal criminal practitioners in the District of Maryland.   E-mail posted to the site gets sent to every other member.  To join, post an email message to CJAMd-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
	Over 60 online briefs and memos litigating federal criminal issues in the District of Maryland, and the number is growing.   While most are the product of the Federal Defender, many have been sent to us by CJA attorneys. Please submit any briefs or memos (Wordperfect format) which you think could be useful to other defense attorneys practicing in this District.
