Palm Pilot Files for the Federal Criminal Practitioner

Lawyer users of handheld devices such as the Palm Pilot and Pocket PC have come to realize that they can do more than keep their addresses and dates.   Frequently used statutes, rules, and opinions can be kept on the palmheld device and can be available at any time in any place.  Websites such as pdaJD.com cater to lawyers looking for new ways to use palm devices in their practices.  The files below are of statutes and other documents useful to federal criminal defense lawyers.  They may be downloaded and, depending on your software be viewed on your Palm Pilot.

  Explanation of Format Types

"Doc" documents are in a format to be read by most of the add-on document reader programs obtainable for handheld devices using the Palm Operating System.   Doc readers do not generally come with a new Palm Pilot.  If you don't have a Doc reader, consider TakeNote!, AportisDoc, TealDoc, or any number of others available online.  iSiloX™ documents require the iSilo™ Document Reader for Palm OS™ or the iSilo™ Document Reader for the Pocket PC OS™. A 30 day trial version of the reader and documentation can be downloaded http://www.isilo.com or it can be purchased at http://www.isilo.com/purchase.htm.

MobileDB is a database format that requires the special MobileDB software.
